Game Mechanics and Rules
Ten independent fair bits choose which of the ten possible edges between five labelled vertices are present. The raw reward is the drawn graph’s chromatic number minus one. A proper colouring uses different colours on adjacent vertices. Raise that reward to power 1, 2 or 3 and divide by the exact mean of that power across all 1,024 equally likely graphs, then multiply by 0.96 to obtain the gross payout multiplier.
Each mode has 96% expected gross return. One whole stake is debited per board. There is no automatic queue, stop button or early cash-out.
Stake Options and Modes
Players can select from four stake buttons: 10, 20, 50, and 100 virtual coins. The game offers three distinct modes, differentiated by the power to which the raw reward is raised. Each mode maintains the same 96% expected gross return but alters the distribution of payouts. Controls for stake, mode, and refill are locked during active play, though sound remains available.
Wallet, Balance, and Refill
The demo starts with an initial balance of 1,000 virtual coins. The wallet is local and persists through settlement, manual refill, and reload. If the idle balance falls below 10 coins, the player can manually restore it to 1,000 coins. This restoration is not automatic and does not add the reset amount to an existing balance; it sets the balance to 1,000. Fractional payout changes persist through all transitions.
Settlement and Reload Limits
Reloading during an unfinished draw ends it without refund or resume and retains the stake debit. Manual refill is unavailable during active play; when idle with fewer than 10 coins, it sets the integer balance to 1,000 and preserves the separate fractional remainder. Multipliers express gross coin returns, not profit.
Mathematical Evidence and RTP
Each mode has 96% expected gross return over the 1,024 equally likely graphs. Separate saved samples of 1,000,000 rounds per mode measured 96.06891%, 96.00745% and 96.01726%. Those are sample observations, not session guarantees. The fractional remainder is uncredited payout change saved between settlements; its final value depends on the sample outcomes.
Identity, Privacy, and Audience
This demo operates without an account flow or payment service. The game source uses localStorage for settled balance and fractional carry, but this does not prove anonymity or exclude other processing. The template declares a Google Fonts stylesheet, but a full network capture is pending. The intended audience policy is 18+, serving as a guide audience policy rather than a universal legal age gate. Virtual coins have no cash value, no cashier, and no KYC requirement.
Frequently asked questions
Can I cash out early in Chromatic Stair?
No. There is no Auto, Stop, or cash-out feature. One whole stake is captured per board, and the game settles only after the complete draw is finished.
What happens if I refill my balance?
With no active draw and fewer than 10 coins, manual refill sets the integer balance to 1,000 and preserves the separate fractional remainder. It cannot interrupt a draw. Reloading an unfinished draw ends it without refund or resume.
Do the virtual coins have real cash value?
No. The demo uses virtual coins with no cash value. There is no payment flow, cashier, or ability to withdraw funds. The 96% RTP is a mathematical expectation based on virtual coin settlements.
